Stanford Learning Lab - November 2021 Newsletter
Happy November-Yes, Fall is officially here! Thanksgiving is three weeks away and we are in countdown mode; it is week eight. Before your heart starts racing, take a deep breath and take a look at our sweet mascot, Leland, on his bio page!
While you are on our website, we hope you will take the LASSI screener and explore the myriad of helpful resources available on our website. This is an excellent tool to help you better understand the conditions that impact your learning, and our resources can connect you to services throughout the university.
We are continuing to build upon our website too, listening to our students’ suggestions on topics that are relevant. Focus and concentration, along with time-management are all issues that are front and center, especially as we head into finals. For example, check out our overview of the Pomodoro technique, an especially helpful strategy to bolster productivity.
Given that finals really are right around the corner, we would love for you to take advantage of our Drop-In Sessions with our experienced Learning Specialists. Whether you need to organize your time more effectively, learn about an app that can boost your productivity, or get strategies for test-taking, we are here for you!
We are also thrilled to announce that we are expanding our unique, research-based, LLIT program for all students.
The LLIT program is a student-centered, quarter-long experience that infuses individualized goal setting and strategy building to advance your academic acuity and self-awareness. Space is limited, so register here now for the winter quarter or reach out to us with any questions.
