Carolyn Wilsey

Carolyn Wilsey (she/her) is a Learning Specialist who greatly enjoys connecting with students and co-creating individualized plans to support their goals and contribute to a sense of ease. She oversees the Learning Lab's student groups and curates the Learning Library. She views skill strengthening as a practice and particularly values kindness toward oneself and others, educational access, community, and creativity. Prior to joining the Stanford Learning Lab, Carolyn worked for more than a decade with neurodiverse learners in one-to-one and small classroom settings at high schools, colleges, and universities in the Bay Area, Connecticut, and New York City, focusing on time management, study skills, executive functioning, reading and writing, and specific assignments. Her BA from Middlebury College is in American Literature, and her MFA from Emerson College is in Creative Writing. She is especially interested in the intersection between mindfulness and learning.
